GPCE officers and staff have been discussing PCNs with CQC, particularly around whether some may need to register. Owing to the many varied ways in which PCNs are set up, CQC are reluctant to issue any all-encompassing guidance, but have offered to develop an FAQ document with us.
Please let us know what specific PCN registration questions you would like to see addressed in a future FAQ to ddlmc.office@nhs.net

We understand that some practices may feel anxious about the release of appointment data to patients. Both DDLMC & DDICB are here to support you if you feel the data extracted is incorrect. Please let us know if you have any issues with the data mapping and its reflection on your appointment data.

On 24 November 2022, NHS Digital intends to publish experimental practice level data. This data will be added to the monthly Appointments in General Practice publication using the data collected regularly from GP System Suppliers. Practices can already view their data ahead of the release via their practice level dashboard. Further details of the information to be included in the publication is included on the attached document.
NHSD is providing a user-restricted dashboard for Integrated Care Boards (ICBs) prior to publication that will show practice level data from July to September 2022, allowing you to review data and provide support to your practices. Access to the ICB dashboard will be available from today.

MSK Digital Platform
Following an extensive evaluation process the Derbyshire system has appointed a company called Getubetter (please see attachment) as the provider of a digital platform to help support patients with signposting and self-care for a variety of MSK conditions.
Joined Up Care Derbyshire's MSK project team is currently undertaking a staggered roll out of the platform into the PCNs, the first PCN is due to be installed the first week in November. Over the past 6 months the project team have worked with Primary Care initially to configure the platform for local needs and there are plans to roll out the platform in to other relevant areas in due course, for example physiotherapy.

New guidance on creating highly usable and accessible GP websites for patients is available to help you improve your practice website. This will help you to increase overall patient satisfaction with your practice, reduce enquiries to your reception staff, reduce digital inequalities and ensure your website is compliant with accessibility regulations.
Join our Practice Management Community – NHS Digital Offer
In July, NHS Digital launched an online community for GP practice managers and those in similar roles to share their thoughts on topical issues and engage with others. The community aims to help us better understand the priorities and pressures you face in general practice, and how we can engage with you about data and digital services.
We now have over 300 registered members and have featured activities on the impact of COVID-19, digital triage tools and the NHS App. Want to join us and get involved? Express your interest.
