There is likely to be a sustained level of high activity and stress as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. Please look after yourselves and ensure good self-care. If you are struggling and need support please contact us.

Samaritans are offering a free, confidential support line for NHS staff - you can talk to them about anything that's troubling you, however large or small the issue feels. They can also point you in the direction of other useful sources of support.

The confidential support line is open 7am-11pm 7 days a week and is run by dedicated and trained Samaritan volunteers. You can call for free on - 0800 069 6222.

Suicide Postvention: Support Pack for General Practice in Derbyshire - A death by suicide has a wide-ranging impact and can affect up to 135 people per death. To help manage the aftermath of a death by suicide a Postvention Support Pack for Primary Care in Derbyshire has been developed.

This pack takes you through the steps required as a Practice and provides information on how to support anyone affected by the death, including family members, friends or staff.

You can find the latest, up-to-date guidance on suicide prevention and bereavement, including updates to the pack on the Derby and Derbyshire emotional health and wellbeing site.
