We are looking to attract an enthusiastic, proactive and forward-thinking Salaried GP to work 4 sessions per week on a fixed term contract until June 2027 for maternity cover. This post is in addition to our current advert for a permanent Salaried GP.

About the Role:

Start date: Late June 2026 (a delayed start would also be considered)

Salary: £11,750 per session

Sessions: 4 per week

Our Practice aim is to deliver a high standard of care to all our patients, who are of a mixed demographic. We take pride in maintaining a high level of patient satisfaction, as evidenced by our recent Ipsos Mori GP Patient Survey result.

We have a friendly and dedicated Reception and Administration team and have great support from our Practice Nurses and Health Care Assistants. We also have the support of an outstanding PCN Pharmacy team.

The Practice is situated in Ilkeston, Derbyshire, along the Derbyshire/Nottinghamshire border.

We have a list size of approximately 5100 patients.

Our clinical team currently includes two GP Partners, two Salaried GPs, two Practice Nurses and two Health Care Assistants.

We are a PMS Practice.

We currently utilise several different local services to aid in the management of on-day caseloads in Practice:

§ On-Day Service - a joint venture within the PCN, providing additional appointments off-site for patients presenting with acute problems on the day

§ Home Visiting Service - a local ANP-led service providing home visiting facilities to patients requesting on day home visits for acute problems

§ ANP cover for our aligned local Nursing Home - including medication monitoring, acute illnesses & care plans

We are currently rated ‘Good’ by the CQC.

We have well-equipped premises with no parking restrictions on site.

We are a SystmOne using Practice.

The position comes with paid study leave allowance, contributions toward MDU/MPS fees and 6 weeks annual leave pro rata.
