GP Trainer with a View to Partnership
(Clinical Director – Leadership, Governance & Education) Ashbourne & Brailsford | Gateway to the Peak District

Henmore Health is seeking an exceptional GP Trainer with the ambition and aptitude to progress rapidly into Partnership (within 6 months) and take on a Clinical Director leadership role within the largest primary care provider in the South Dales and one of the most progressive primary care providers in Derbyshire.

This is a rare opportunity for a GP who enjoys shaping systems, perfecting policy, leading people and influencing quality at scale, while remaining grounded in excellent clinical care.

About Henmore Health

Henmore Health is the largest Primary Care Provider in the South Dales, delivering services across Ashbourne and Brailsford. We are a values-led organisation with a strong executive structure, clear governance, and a commitment to modern general practice, education, sustainability and quality.

Our area offers an outstanding quality of life with immediate access to national park landscapes, outdoor pursuits, excellent schools, and strong community identity — all within reach of Derby, Nottingham and Stoke.

The Role

This post is designed for a GP who sees partnership not as an endpoint, but as a platform for leadership and influence. You will:

• Join as a GP with a clear and supported pathway with a view to Partnership within 6 months

• Progress into a Clinical Director role (Henmore terminology for senior GP Partner leadership)

• Actively engage and contribute to clinical leadership, strategy and organisational development

• Work at both practice and group level, influencing policy, systems and standards

Education & Training Leadership

You must be an approved GP Trainer (or imminently appointable) and will:

• Lead and develop our registrar programme, supporting 6 - 8 GP registrars

• Oversee training delivery across 2 sites, Ashbourne and Brailsford

• Provide clinical supervision, educational governance and trainer leadership

• Work closely with senior clinicians to ensure a high quality, supportive training environment

Governance, Policy & Quality

This role will strongly appeal to a GP who enjoys:

• Clinical Governance, legislation and regulatory frameworks

• Writing, refining and embedding policy and Clinical Protocols/SOPs

• Translating national guidance into safe, workable local systems

• Leading quality improvement projects that genuinely improve care

You will work closely with:

• The Standards Committee

• Clinical Governance colleagues

• HR & Compliance Manager

• The CEO and Managing Director as fellow Executive Officers and play a central role in shaping how Henmore delivers safe, compliant and high-quality care at scale.

Who We Are Looking For

We are seeking a GP who:

• Is a GP Trainer

• Is motivated by leadership, responsibility and influence

• Has a strong interest in policy, governance and legislation

• Enjoys clinical supervision and developing others

• Is ready and enthusiastic to become a Partner within 6 months

• Values working within a clear executive and governance structure

This is not a passive partnership. It is an active, engaged leadership role for the right individual who wants to help shape the future of general practice.

Why Join Henmore

• Clear, supported route to Partnership

• Genuine Clinical Director leadership role

• Strong executive infrastructure - you are not carrying risk alone

• Influence over policy, process, governance and organisational direction

• A large, stable training platform

• Outstanding lifestyle opportunity in the Peak District

• Be part of a business that’s constantly evolving and growing, with exciting opportunities
