Performers List

Good Afternoon Colleagues,

At the PCSE Training Events we ran at the end of September it was explained that PCSE were rolling out a new portal based system for administering the Performers List. We have received a number of queries from practices about how they can set up their User Administrator accounts and I have today received the following update from Julie Powdrell at PCSE:

“Throughout the services transformation programme, where User Administrators allocate specific user roles, PCSE plan to look at producing communications targeted to the relevant user roles.

As part of the Performer List transformation the CQC Registered Manager for each practice should have now received their letter to set up their User Administrators, the User Administrator will then assign the relevant Practice Manager(s) to approve leaving and joining Performers on PCSE online.  Only those set up as the 'Approvers' will receive an email to alert when there is an action to complete.

To date, around 25% of Practices have registered their User Administrators and any help to support our messaging, as below, would be very much appreciated.  Hard copy letters were delivered to practices on 04.11.19, signed for and addressed to the CQC Registered Manager.  If any practices are unable to locate the letter they should ring the Customer Support Centre 0333 014 2884 who will arrange for a copy to be sent.

Practice Managers

The new online service for Performer List administration is now here, here is a reminder of what you need to do.
Your CQC Registered Manager should now have received a letter containing a unique access code and instructions to set up your User Administrators.

Please ensure you register your User Administrators as soon as possible so that practice staff can access the system.  Once the User Administrators have been allocated they will receive an email confirming their new role.

User Administrators are responsible for:

  • Setting up all other user types
  • Assigning the Performer List Practice Manager(s), who will be able to approve leaving and joining performers on PCSE Online.

If you are unable to locate the letter delivered to your CQC Registered Manager please contact the Customer Support Centre 0333 014 2884 who will arrange for a copy to be sent out.

Performers, including Locums

Over the next few weeks PCSE will be contacting all existing GPs, using the email address registered with the GMC, with details on how to register to use PCSE Online.

It is important to check that you have an email registered with the GMC, there are three ways to add or update your GMC email address:

  • Log into your GMC online account and update this in the ‘My details’ section
  • Send an email to gmc@gmc-uk.org (if this is sent from your new email address you will be asked some security questions to verify your identity)
  • Call the GMC call centre 0161 923 6602

Once registered you will need to log on to PCSE Online whenever there is a change in your circumstance or status.  Your log in details will also enable you to access the new online Payment and Pensions service for GP Practices, which will be introduced in 2020, providing easy access to pension information and payment statements.”

Once any teething problems are ironed out, I do believe this will be an improvement for practices and we would recommend that practice managers speak to their CQC registered manager to arrange for the User Administrator to be set up. This will then allow you to allocate specific user roles within the practice. If you have any further questions please don’t hesitate to contact us or PCSE.
