Take part in a new series of DDLMC events for managers
A new series of free events to help GP practices tackle common issues has been launched for 2026.
Derby and Derbyshire Local Medical Committee (DDLMC) is working with industry experts to provide useful in-person sessions on a range of topics, including:
· Employment law with a focus on primary care
· How to be CQC ready
· Retirement and succession planning
· Team management and good practice
The DDLMC Update Event series is aimed at practice managers (PMs), operations and reception managers, covering topics that relate to their roles.
It starts on Thursday, 26 February, with the first of two sessions on ‘Employment law with a focus on primary care’.
This event will take place from 11am to 2pm at The Farmhouse at Mackworth, Derby.
There are just a few spaces left but if you can’t make it, the session will be repeated at the same time on Wednesday, 25 March at Casa Hotel, Chesterfield.
Both sessions benefit from the expertise of Liz Willett from Kraft HR.
On Wednesday, 29 April, DKJ Solutions will join DDLMC in presenting ‘CQC – A how to’, at Casa Hotel.
The event will be repeated on Wednesday, 13 May at The Farmhouse at Mackworth.
If you want to learn more about ‘Team management and good practice’, Sylvia Foster from the DDLMC’s Practice Support Programme will provide an update with The Hub Plus.
Sylvia’s sessions take place on Wednesday, 24 June at Casa Hotel and Wednesday, 1 July at The Farmhouse at Mackworth.
Finally, we will be joined by BWH Surveyors for ‘Retirement/succession - planning for the future’ on Wednesday, 30 September and Wednesday, 21 October at Casa Hotel and The Farmhouse at Mackworth respectively.
The DDLMC Update Event series replaces what was previously called Lunch and Learn events.
All sessions include lunch and time for networking.
For more information about the series, visit the Events section of the DDLMC website and reserve your place via Eventbrite by clicking on the date and topic.
