We’re very pleased to announce that the Joined Up Careers Work Experience Directory is now live – you can find it here: https://joinedupcareers.co.uk/work-experience
The idea of the directory is to make the process of applying for work experience more streamlined and equitable; moving away from the idea of it being ‘who you know’. The directory aims to bring all work experience placement opportunities relating to health and social care into one centralised place – this includes both service user facing roles and non-service user facing roles (e.g. administration, facilities management, finance, etc.).
It’s early days for the directory, but we hope to continue to add more placements to offer a wide selection of opportunities across all areas of health and social care. Can you help by offering a placement within your team? The directory is supported by work experience leads from DCHS, DHCFT, Derbyshire County Council, Derby City Council, Chesterfield Royal Hospital, University Hospitals of Derby and Burton and the private, voluntary and independent sector therefore it’d be great to include placements from all partner organisations.
If you’d like to offer a placement, it’s as easy as completing the attached form and returning it to dhcft.joinedupcareers@nhs.net . The Joined Up Careers team are more than happy to support in uploading placements onto the system, and we’ll also sort you out with a log-in so you can manage applications via the system.
