Perinatal Mental Health – improve your confidence in identifying and managing patients with common, treatable but potentially very dangerous symptoms.
Come and join Dr Tara George for a one hour update
Objectives:
- To raise awareness of the most common mental health problems presenting in the perinatal period
- To improve your confidence in prescribing SSRIs and other MH medication safely in pregnancy and in breastfeeding
- To introduce you to a wealth of resources to assist you in managing patients and their families during difficult and distressing times
About the speaker: Tara is one of NHS England’s newly appointed Perinatal Mental Health GP Champions. In this role she delivers teaching to GPs and other primary care staff to upskill them in their identification and management of patients with perinatal mental health issues. Tara is also a GP, GP Trainer and Programme Director in North Derbyshire.
