Bringing a claim to the small claims court
You will all be aware of the failings of PCSE to deliver an acceptable level of support to GP practices and the lobbying that Derby and Derbyshire LMC have been doing on your behalf to try and hold NHS England and Capita to account for these failings.
In many cases this has led to significant additional work for practices and in some instances financial loss. In recognition of the additional administrative burden on practices, a goodwill payment of £250 payment per practice is being made by NHS England and this should be paid to practices by 30 June 2017.
In addition those practices or individuals who have suffered a demonstrable financial loss and can provide evidence of that loss, incurred as a result of Capita's failures, should be recompensed accordingly. These practices need to contact NHS England to make a claim.
