We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic GP to join our very busy, friendly team.

Situated in the semi-rural village of Duffield (5 miles north of Derby), we serve a population of just over 11,100 patients. We are in a modern, purpose-built premises with free parking and disabled access. We have an attached (independent) pharmacy unit on-site. We also operate from a small branch surgery in the neighbouring village of Little Eaton. We are within easy commute of Derby and Nottingham and are situated close to the beautiful Derbyshire Peak District.

You must have excellent clinical and communication skills and an active interest in teaching and training as you will be involved in the supervision of medical students and GP Registrars. If you have an area of special interest, we will actively encourage and support you in this.

You will be responsible for core work such as assessment, diagnosis, treatment and onward referral of patients. You will have responsibility for a practice list of patients, take part in core hours and there is an option to be involved in extended hours. You will take part in the triage and on call rota, on a pro-rata basis to your number of clinical sessions.

Our sessions consist of a mix of 10-minute telephone calls and 15-minute face to face appointments with protected time for online consultations, meetings and trainee debriefs.
