Practice Nurse – The Vernon Street Medical Centre

Location: Vernon & Lanes Medical Centre
Salary: dependent on experience
Hours: Full-time

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Practice Nurse to join our friendly, supportive team at Vernon & Lanes Medical Centre. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced nurse to play a key role in delivering high-quality, patient-centred care within a thriving primary care environment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for a wide range of clinical duties, including:

• Chronic disease management (e.g. diabetes, respiratory, cardiovascular).

• Health promotion and preventative care.

• Immunisations and cervical screening.

• Treatment room services and woundcare.

• Anticoagulation monitoring and patient education.

You will be part of a well-established nursing team, working closely with GPs, pharmacists, HCAs and the wider primary care network. We are committed to professional development and will support additional training, including specialist modules, prescribing, and leadership skills.

What we’re looking for:

• A Registered General Nurse with NMC registration.

• Primary care experience and a passion for long-term condition management.

• Excellent communication, organisational and IT skills.

• A team player with a flexible, proactive approach.
