Trust GPs to lead, press release and report published today - BMA

Please find below a press release just issued based on the responses from GPs to the most recent BMA tracker survey.

At the same the BMA has published a report called Trust GPs to lead: learning from the response to COVID-19 within general practice in England. The document can be accessed using this link

This document sets out a range of principles and solutions that are needed to enable GPs and practices to manage the ongoing demands of responding to COVID-19. The report highlights what can be done when practices are afforded the trust, autonomy, flexibility and freedom to act as the leaders of the profession in their local communities, acting in the best interests of their patients.
