About us
Ashbourne Medical Practice is a busy, forward thinking expanding practice in a semi-rural locality, on the edge of the Peak District. We have an innovative and friendly team who are committed to supporting each other in delivering excellent patient care. The practice team consists of five GP partners, a salaried GP, two ANPs, two practice nurses, a HCA and a Clinical Pharmacist funded via the ARRS. We are fully committed to working collaboratively with our PCN practices and open to new and innovative ways of working. We are proud to be a training practice, supporting staff development and working with local providers to deliver GP training, medical student placements and are looking to expand to cover student nurses.
Ashbourne is situated in South Derbyshire with easy access to the cities of Derby, Nottingham and Sheffield but does have a delightful town centre with an interesting array of shops.
The practice achieves high standards of performance against QOF and is rated as ‘Good’ by CQC. We are a SystmOne practice and utilise other commonly used systems. Administration is supported by a loyal and conscientious non-clinical support team with strong management support which focuses on minimising the administrative burden on clinical staff.
