Contract: Fixed term, 1 Feb 2026 – 31 May 2026
Schedule: 2 sessions per week – Wednesdays (possibility of increasing by two sessions weekly on Thursday)

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate General Practitioner to join our healthcare team. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive medical services across diverse patient populations, ensuring high standards of care and patient satisfaction. Duties

  • Provide face to face and telephone consultations; triage (including Rapid Health)

  • Home visits when clinically appropriate (we do have access to an Acute Home Visiting service)

  • Review/sign repeat prescriptions and respond to related queries

  • Manage clinical correspondence and admin in a timely manner

  • Make autonomous clinical decisions for undifferentiated/undiagnosed presentations

  • Maintain clear, contemporaneous consultation notes; contribute to audit and clinical governance

  • Prescribe in line with practice formulary/guidance

  • Contribute to coding/read‑coding and development of computerised records

  • Attend practice meetings, training and events where appropriate

Experience

  • Fully qualified GP; experience as duty doctor

  • Telephone triage and home visiting experience

  • GMC full registration and inclusion on a UK performers list

  • Knowledge of GP contracts, enhanced services and QOF

  • Up‑to‑date CPD for appraisal/revalidation

  • Excellent communication, teamworking and time‑management skills

  • IT literate (SystmOne experience beneficial)

Desirable

Medical education experience; higher postgraduate qualifications

Proven QOF delivery; specialist interests (e.g., minor surgery, joint injections, family health)

DBS: This role is subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service check under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975.

UK registration: Applicants must hold current UK professional registration.
