The Derby & Derbyshire GP Provider Board (GPPB) provides a unified voice for general practice across Derbyshire within the Integrated Care System (ICS), supporting the future of general practice in delivering high-quality patient care. We collaborate closely with the Derby & Derbyshire Local Medical Committee (LMC) and The Hub+ to strengthen healthcare services across Derbyshire.
Job Overview
We are looking for an experienced Administrator to join our team, supporting the efficient delivery of projects and services that benefit general practice. In this varied and engaging role, you will be a central point of contact, handling essential administrative functions, supporting stakeholders, and contributing to the smooth operation of our initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Administrative Support: Manage documentation, coordinate diaries, plan multi-agency meetings, and prepare reports and presentations.
Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as the primary contact for GPPB, fostering positive relationships with internal and external partners.
Finance Assistance: Process invoices, payroll, and expenses, and support project budget monitoring.
Project Coordination: Organise work schedules, compile data, and assist in project management tasks where appropriate.
Continuous Improvement: Identify process improvements and enhance administrative efficiency.
Qualifications & Experience
Essential:
GCSE-level English (or equivalent).
Qualification in Business Administration or comparable experience.
Strong IT skills, especially in Excel.
Knowledge of General Practice/NHS.
Secretarial or minute-taking qualification.
Experience in a demanding administrative or personal assistant role.
Desirable:
Familiarity with financial procedures and small project coordination experience.
Skills & Personal Attributes
High standard of customer service and professional communication.
Excellent organisational, interpersonal, and time management skills.
Ability to work independently, manage changing workloads, and meet deadlines.
Adaptable, enthusiastic, and committed to ongoing development.
