This workshop will aim to help participants to reflect on their understanding of mindfulness through experiential learning and from there, can consider how to best use mindfulness both within a personal and professional capacity.

To this end, the workshop will help participants to consider the following:

• Myths and realities of mindfulness
• A taste of mindfulness
• Empirical evidence for mindfulness within health services
• When to and when not to recommend mindfulness
• Development of an individual plan to cultivate own mindfulness practice
