Overview
Course aimed at organisations using EMIS as their clinical system.
Delegates will learn different search techniques to ensure that the correct codes are found and the workshop will raise awareness around some of the common coding errors made in general practice.
This half day workshop is theory-based, with demonstrations provided using the NHS Browser. A joint practical exercise will be undertaken during the session with input from delegates and a further exercise provided within the workbook should be completed back at practice in order to consolidate learning.
Agenda
Course Objectives:
Designed specifically for primary care staff involved in clinical coding using Clinical Terms Version 2 (CTV2) this workshop will enable delegates to understand the development and structure of CTV2 and how this differs from previous versions of Read Codes. Delegates will learn different search techniques to ensure that the correct codes are found and the workshop will raise awareness around some of the common coding errors made in general practice.
