Ruth Bentley & Jeremey Gibson will be talking upon the topic: Safeguarding Children

Learning Areas: 

The first half of the presentation will cover the legislation underpinning safeguarding children, the breadth of safeguarding, understanding the indicators of the main types of maltreatment and understanding vulnerabilities. The second half of the presentation will cover thresholds in safeguarding, recording concerns (use of the DDCCG Safeguarding Template), referrals to childrens social care and report writing for safeguarding.
