£100,000,000 cash injection to improve services (added 18/01/12)
The Secretary of State for Health announced on 16th January that CCGs are to have £2/head of population made available to them via their PCT Cluster to spend this financial year to improve local services and reduce pressures on the NHS during the colder months.

The LMC urges all GPs to engage with their CCG to help them to make the most of this opportunity. I have seen no further details but I suspect, that, for the moment, we will have to assume that this money is non-recurrent and must be spent by the 31st March!
